We are seeking an experienced Lift Project Manager to oversee the delivery of lift installation, modernisation, and refurbishment projects across the UK. The successful candidate will manage each project from order through to handover, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of lift systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver lift installation and modernisation projects from start to finish.
- Prepare project programmes, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and other Health & Safety documentation.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure all materials and resources are available as required.
- Oversee financial control of projects — managing budgets, variations, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, main contractors, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality of work.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and final handover processes, including completion of O&M documentation.
- Identify and mitigate project risks; implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Promote a strong Health & Safety culture on all projects.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Lift Project Manager or in a similar role within the lift or vertical transportation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of lift installation and modernisation processes.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and lift regulations (LOLER, PUWER, BS EN81, Building Regs).
- Excellent financial, organisational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multi-site operations.
- IT literate, with proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools.
- Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM) advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence required.
