Set in the heart of Bristol’s business district, Merchants House is a prominent office building serving a diverse range of professionals. To ensure smooth, modern vertical mobility within this fully occupied space, HOISTWAY, a KLEEMANN UK company, was appointed, as a principal contractor, to deliver a complete lift system upgrade.

Executed in two planned phases, in 2023 and 2025 respectively, the project involved removing aging equipment and installing two high-performance 1000kg, 1.6m/s machine-room-less (MRL) lifts within existing shafts.

The project included full strip-out, structural works, new lift installation and building/electrical integration—managed entirely by HOISTWAY with minimal disruption to tenants.
